Dr. Schwindel comes to us from the faculty of the Northern Alberta institute of Higher Learning, where he spent seven years as an Assistant Professor of English, specializing in 19th Century Literature by Persons Missing at Least Two Appendages. His short fiction has previously been featured in several magazines, most recently "Popular Masochists." A determination to follow through on his writing career has led him to abandon his professional position in order to write full-time as a resident of Planet Venison. This month Planet Venison features his short stories "The Redemption of Darryl Moon" and "The Magic Loincloth," his introspective poem "Two Clocks," as well as a non-fiction lyric essay entitled "Dodging the Dick's Demon." Dr. Schwindel also holds the distinction for having constructed the largest lego rendering of Sonny Bono's head (23 feet high).
TESTIMONIAL
"I came to Planet Venison because I was sick of the academic environment. Maybe here people will leave me alone and let me work."
